Where's the Rolex GMT Master II 'Coke'?

I saw someone wearing a GMT Master II 'Coke' today and I really dug it, however, it's not on the Rolex website for some reason. Has it been discontinued? Was it limited edition? Apologies if this is a stupid question! Thanks!

Short answer, yes, it is discontinued.

Coke was an aluminum bezel insert as part of the 16710 model series; however, Rolex has yet to make a ceramic Coke bezel for the current GMT model line.

I would think it is highly likely it would be platinum, since there currently is no platinum GMT (but I guess there is no platinum sub either). The only challenge is the current method to create a 2-tone ceramic bezel causes the red to be more maroon and not bright red.

I've had this one for about eleven years, very much prefer the look of the Coke v. the Pepsi. Jubilee or no Jubilee -- the latter being my preference -- this one won't be leaving my collection anytime soon.

Rolex is still figuring out how many people of what tax bracket want one so they can decide which exotic material to make it out of for a ceramic reissue.

Call me picky but I'm not a fan of the green. Is there a version where that hand's red or white?
I actually agree with you about the green. It's red on the Pepsi BLRO, but of course that's a much more expensive watch.

The Coke GMT was still produced as late as something like 2005, so it's not hard to find one in excellent condition. DavidSW actually had a minty late-model one a few weeks ago, and I admit I lingered over it for awhile even though I don't need another GMT at all. You don't get the beautiful ceramic bezel, but you do get case proportions that many people prefer, so it might be a worthwhile tradeoff.
