Considering picking one of these up but I’ve heard a lot complaints about Yema in the quality and control department, as well as their customer service. Anyone have any personal experience with either of these watches? Good, bad, or both! Please let me know!

I have a Yema Flygraf Pilot M2. Here is a link to my experience and initial impression both when purchasing my Flygraf and their customer service: Yema Flygraf Pilot M2

I don't know what it is about the Yema brand, but it does seem to attract the trolls. Now, whether these trolls have ever actually owned a Yema or have personally dealt with Yema's customer service — who knows for sure? The herd mentality probably also has played a role in this as well.

Here is one Yema thread on the Public Forum, in which Yema owners show off their watches or the positive experience with the brand.

I can’t speak to Yema, but I see this a lot with some smaller brands, and it’s really hard to get a sense of how prevalent QC issues are. I was looking for some info on zodiac the other day, and there were tons of complaints about the movements but it was impossible to tell how many were legit complaints or if they represented a big percentage of the watches.

i owned a Flygraf M1 as well. here was my review.

As you can see, I have nothing but good things to say about the watch. I guess i was lucky i experienced no QC issues. I absolutely had no problems.
I ended up selling only because I had too many thick diver-ish watches.

I've not had any problems with either of my Yemas, which include two quartz chronos, an automatic chrono, and a 3-hand automatic with their YEMA2000 movement. The one CS experience I had (changing my mind after having placed an order and asking them to fix it) went very well and I was happy with the outcome.

I'd have bought their recent micro-rotor if they hadn't put it in an ugly watch.
