There’s a quartz forum? I know there’s a HAQ forum but I can’t find a quartz forum.

 

Sternglas makes some nice Bauhaus quartz watches. I have a couple Yemas that are Q. My Revue Thommen Airspeed.

 

Straton makes some very nice meta-quartz watches for another micro suggestion.

 

Lakinga makes some very nice Quartz watches.

You can count Marathon as such.
Plenty of here and there but problem is since micros are targeting "special" crowd of watch lovers quartz is not that popular there.
But you can look for kickstarter quartz watch and a lot will pop up.
Not really a microbrand but Timex originals are very nice, affordable and good quality.

Of what haven't been mentioned here before, Botta and Geckota come to my mind.

The former isn't for everyone but interesting concepts nevertheless.

 

If you like legible pilot / tool watches, you should check out the amazing A-13A. (There are a couple of mega threads about it here)

 

But does Seiko really have “tons of quartz options”? Their most popular watches are available only in mechanical. The quartz options they have are mostly afterthoughts or for non-enthusiasts. I would love, for example, a solar Turtle.

 

Agreed - Seikos more iconic models are almost exclusively mechanical (other than the quartz Tunas or if you step up to a quartz Grand Seiko). There are a handful of decent solar models coming out recently though (38mm solar diver and the newish panda solar Chrono come to mind).

 

Half of the Vaer line is quartz.

 

 

Jack Mason quartz solar is on sale.

 

What I would do.

Go to chrono24 and filter for "men's quartz watches".

You will get a pretty good overview of all things quartz.

 

Some great suggestions already. Others include (in no particular order); Boldr, Redwood, Walden, SWC, Benrus, D1 Milano,
WT Author, Hemel, Wolbrook, Brew, Undone, AVI-8. A flavor for most all tastes. Good luck in your search.

 

Nivada Grenchen has some mecaquartz models, all chronos.

 

Wolbrook do some nice looking mecaquartz's. I see them occupying a similar retro-styled nich as Dan Henry

Islander has some nice quartz options now.

 

Momentum Sea Quartz. My new favorite. Magnum P.I.s watch from the 1980's show (Chronosport was the original company). Really love how it wears and looks.

 

Vaer you know about. The only other quartz micro I have is from Cincinnati Watch Co. This is the "Captain" -- check out their website for other models.

I have our Empire using VK64 which we will continue to make and we're going solar and I'm excited about it as there's no need to change batteries ! Hopefully we will continue to make more solars as technology matures and complications increases.

 

RZE has a new solar quartz powered watch called Urbanist. Should be available this spring.
