Just curious, have you taken off the bracelet yet?

I bought an Edifice from eBay recently that looked like complete garbage under the end links.

 

No but the bracelet is solid and finished well. I've heard there are actually fake Edifices on eBay, specifically from India.

 

I like the Casio Edifice watches I own. They are all regulars in my rotation.

I've got the EF 503 in black, white, and blue...really nice watches. Another Edifice which is seldom mentioned is the EF 305, available on a resin strap or a bracelet. I've had this one for 6 or 7 years.

 

While the "look at my new Edifice" threads are rarer than the "look at my new 007" ones I don't think there's little love for the brand. It's a very well respected watch here and I think that says it all.

 

I saw a wide selection of them at an airport duty-free shop recently. I was really impressed.

 

And now I know... Color me very impressed.

also, anyone eithe EF503 have a extra link or 2 that theyd be interested in selling to me? i got one a few months ago, however its BARELY too small for my gigantic wrists

(the lume is not really this good... fresh charge and some good photo filter adjustments)

 

I don't wear my EF503 enough but it's a nice looking watch.
I find it not as easy to read time compared to my other chronos with bigger numbers and cleaner dial but it's a fine affordable chrono.
Keeps excellent time.

I appreciate the bracelet's solid end links......

Looks great with a rally style leather strap

or plain leather with a white contrasting stitch....

Happy with either one.

For around $70, it's a cool affordable.

Wearing mine today, and really like it. Surprisingly nice bracelet.

 

While Casio is a respected brand in F71, and many WIS love the Edifice line, there is still a bias towards automatic mechanical watches. Casio only produces quartz and solar quartz models, and offer no mechanical models. For many members, that disqualifies Casio from serious consideration. Most Casio analog watches also exceed the WUS ideal of a 40mm case size.

WUS ideal watch:

40mm stainless steel case (or titanium with DLC coating), 11mm or under high.
sapphire crystal (dome style a plus)
screw down crown
200M or better WR
automatic mechanical movement with hand-winding and hacking functions

Many in the Edifice lineup are surprisingly nice, ESPECIALLY for the price.

I used to have one, till I accidentally smashed it into a solid steel door handle.

I might get me another soon.

I wonder why Edifice is so much cheaper than Seiko chronos, when they are both equal in many ways?

 

EF503 on a black on black nato.

My biggest complaint is the dial is a little hard to read. Overall solid watch though.
