Got my 2nd Automatic Chronograph today, a mint store sample new Accu-Swiss for $329 delivered.

Got the Victorinox new for $359 before the holidays. It has a Valjoux 7750.

Not sure whether the Bulova has a Sellita or ETA movement.

Great watch! I've been thinking about picking up the Bulova Accu Swiss Murren chronograph model while it can still be found under $500. I've heard that Bulova is discontinuing the Accu Swiss line of watches. That is disappointing because they make nice Swiss watches at affordable prices. I have read that the Accu Swiss line of watches are using the Sellita movements. The SW500 in the chronographs. How are you liking yours Yankee? Here is a picture of the Murren I want to get on bracelet.

So many watches, so little money it is hard to decide what to get.

So far, so good. In my research online, I cannot definitively determine whether it has a Sellita or ETA inside. I have no issue with a Sellita SW500, if that is what it is. Winds and sweeps very smoothly, same as my other Valjoux 7750 inside the Victorinox.

These were at low prices a few months ago and I missed the opportunity to grab one, so watching the market last weekend paid off.

The coffin-link bracelet on that Murren is gorgeous, I have one on a Snorkel chrono.

Best of luck if you have to resort to asking Bulova for confirmation of the movement. I asked Bulova UK for confirmation of what lurked in the Moon Watch and after an initial "Hi, my name is ****** and I'll be dealing with your enquiry" the silence was deafening.

I picked up one of these as well, and have been liking it a lot - it was an ebay refurb and was very affordable!

The rule of thumb is that the Bulova Gemini and some of the Amerigo lines have ETA/Valjoux movements, while the Tellaro and Murren lines have Sellita movements. It's hard to say if this holds for all the models, and getting the info from Bulova is impossible, as noted above.

I have 3 Geminis now - the 64C104 chrono with Valjoux 7750, the 63B154 GMT with ETA 2893-2, and the 63A120 field watch with ETA 2824-2. All were at great prices with the current blow-out of Accu-Swiss and Gemini watches.

I have a Swatch White Track with a black band. I don't have a decent close up camera so here's a stock pic:

Swiss ETA C01.211 automatic mechanical chronograph movement, based on the Lemania 5100. Times to six hours, not that anyone ever seems to care about a chronograph's ability to actually time things. I paid $175 new, plus another $15 for the replacement band.

63c118 is remarkable for a Swiss Made automatic chronograph at $348 USD new including shipping. This one was shipped out of a flooded Houston warehouse a few days after Hurricane Harvey struck Texas last week. It actually arrived last Friday, but FedEx tracking site still says "not available for pickup". Took a chance and went to pickup site today and they had it.

The black Tellaro was only $266.

I opened up my Bulova Accu-Swiss Tellaro today and an inscription says "7750". Could the Tellaros actually have ETA/Valjoux 7750 movements rather than Sellita SW500s?

Ok, I found this thread and websight because of yankeexpress's posts, specifically the picture of his watches sitting outside in the sun. Beautiful!

I wonder if a case like Mikeman's blue Murren could be fitted with the coffin-link band from a 63c119 like Yankeexpress's? Oh this thread is going to get me into trouble with the wife.

Thanks

Yes, while I have not done this swap, the cases are the same shape and lug width. Should work perfectly.

I'm finding the tellaro to be very heavy. Kind of on the fence about keeping it. On the other hand I love the look and the chrono function is great. Any one else find the watch to be very heavy? Is that the case with all auto chronos?
7750 and SW500 are big, thick movements with rotors attached. The Murren might be a few grams lighter (have not weighed them to compare) than the Tellaro but not much.

The manual wind SeaGull watches are thinner and lighter, but not Swiss Made.
